Why do you peddle the same debunked apologetics? You've been debunked on JREF. http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=79983&page=2 The earth is an oblate spheroid (very slightly so) but the ostrich egg is a prolate spheroid. I think you've been told this already.

Dear friend;
Quran says" like ostrich egg".
Egg= ekvator is biggest long side. Other sides are smaller. And "pollars" are smallest long sides.
And planets too. Ekvator is longest side. Pollars are smallest. Ant other sides are between evkator and pollars.
So World=ostrich egg.
Not sphere
Not flat.
Geoidical.

Look at the diagrams Emre,
The prolate spheroid has two short axes and one long one.
The oblate spheroid has one short axis and two long ones.
They are not the same.
You are not thinking in three dimensions.
The fact that they have different names - prolate spheroid and oblate spheroid should tell you that they are different. The earth is an oblate spheroid. Bird eggs, including those of ostriches, are prolate spheroids. _________________ http://free-islam.com |

Keep saying it Emre, if it makes you feel better. However, it only goes to show you have no conception of what the earth looks like. Stop thinking in 2 dimensions. In 3 dimensions the earth is an oblate spheroid. Ostrich eggs are prolate spheroids. _________________ http://free-islam.com |

Akvator is biggeest (most fat side)
Pollars are smallest sides in eggs.

Squashed like what? I used squash as a descriptive term. The earth is slightly oblate spheroid because of centripetal forces, nothing is being squashed. It could be squash like a piece of doe, like a pizza.

I meant in Arabic, there is a game however called dahia that I used to play when I was a kid, in that game we play with seeds of the apricot, the winner keeps taking the seeds from other players, the apricot seeds is a valued item for kids in Egypt (I was one of them) and we used to eat the apricot to collect the seeds inside, then we wash and dry them and play, we used to have bags containing thousands of this seeds, and the one of us who have the most is like the master of us, this is the only link I can see between the verb Dahaaha and the the noun Dahia, ironically the seed of the apricot is NOT A PERFECT CIRCLE

Hello
I can accept that the noun Dahia can be used to mean an ostrich egg, but the word (Dahaaha) in the verse is a VERB not a NOUN, do you agree on that bro?
I'm not changing any Arabic bro, why I have to do that?
